The second international conference FEEDSAFETY 2007, hosted by CRA-W in cooperation with Agrobiopôle wallon asbl, will be held in Namur on 27th and 28th November 2007 and will offer a review of the latest legislative, scientific and industrial progress in animal feed chain safety.

On behalf of DG Sanco, the Community Reference Laboratory for animal proteins in feedingstuffs (CRL-AP)organized in 2006 an interlaboratory study for all National Reference Laboratories (NRLs) of the European Union nominated at that time.

On behalf of DG Sanco, the Community Reference Laboratory for animal proteins in feedingstuffs (CRL-AP)organized in 2006 an interlaboratory study for all National Reference Laboratories (NRLs) of the European Union nominated at that time. The goals of the study were (i) to evaluate the performance of the NRLs to apply the microscopic method for qualitative purpose indicated in Commission Directive 2003/126/EC and (ii) to investigate the robustness of the EC 126/2003 directive method regarding the quantitative evaluation of animal constituents in feedingstuffs.
